Iron Man Mark L making process by our Artist
Overal
- "Where'd that come from?"
"It's a nanotech. You like it?"
- ―Bruce Banner and Tony Stark.
The Mark L Armor is Tony Stark's fiftieth Iron Man suit. It was built after the Iron Man Armor: Mark XLVII, XLVIII, and XLIX. It is used to battle Thanos along with his allies. Moreover, this armor is more advanced than any other preceding armor, as it possesses many capabilities and useful functions for Stark to use at his disposal. It is the first armor to utilize nanotechnology, and thanks to this, it is the first armor to possess melee weapons, back-up tools, and flight enhancements.
Creation
- "If you wanted to have a kid, you wouldn't have done that."
"I'm glad you brought this up, 'cause it's nothing. It's just a housing unit for nanoparticles."
- ―Pepper Potts and Tony Stark
Tony Stark created the Mark L Armor by relying on nanotechnology. The suit was entirely contained in a detachable housing unit of nanoparticles that could deploy over Stark's body with a simple push on it. While Stark and Pepper Potts were jogging, Potts remarked on how the fact that Stark had built another suit of armor was a sign that he did not really want to start a family and settle down.
Final Usage
After the battle in which the armor was destroyed, Stark kept the damaged helmet with him when he and Nebula evacuated Titan on the Benatar, and eventually got stranded in the void of space. As Stark accepted his eventual demise from such a situation, he used the helmet to record a goodbye message for Pepper Potts, in hopes she would one day find it. Finally, the message proved unnecessary, however, as the Benatar was shortly picked up by Captain Marvel and returned to the New Avengers Facility on Earth.
Capacities
This armor is the first to utilize nanotechnology. Its ability to rebuild, reshape and redesign itself mid-combat effectively makes it not only its own weapon and armory but also its own factory. It can store many chemicals and substances necessary to produce many different weapons and tools, including missiles and other explosives and first aid supplies.
Once materialized, the armor takes the appearance of an organic-like muscular exoskeleton, resembling a skintight one-piece suit, and possessing fewer mechanical protrusions than its predecessors. This slimmer muscular design improves super strength, agility, and flexibility. In addition to being able to rebuild damage and materialize weapons for both long-range and close-quarter combat, the Mark L Armor vastly improves power, defense, and versatility from its predecessors in every way.
